On Friday, June 16th, the Brent Cross Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Penobscot Valley Country Club. The tournament raised $30,000 for the Brent Cross Scholarship awarded to students at Husson University.
The funds raised came from donations, entry fees, and an auction that featured items such as a Tom Brady signed New England Patriots helmet, exclusive Bruins and Red Sox ticket packages, and other signed memorabilia from teams for which Cross Insurance is the Official Insurance Broker.
The tournament hosted a full field of participants, who participated in a bramble format, a combination of a scramble and a best ball, where the teams start with a scramble off the tee, select the best drive, and then each golfer plays his or her own ball into the hole, with the low individual score counting as the team’s score.
