Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp., and one of the largest independent insurance providers in the Northeast region, announces the acquisition of Maine Insurance Agency of Portland, Maine.
The acquisition of Maine Insurance Agency, a fifth-generation family-owned business, continues to broaden Cross Insurance’s service offerings and the agency’s ongoing strategic plans to expand Cross Insurance-Coastal Region.
Founded in 1905, Maine Insurance Agency, an independent Agency and recognized as a Trusted Choice Agency, has grown to provide insurance coverage options for thousands of individuals and businesses throughout Maine. The full-service Agency currently serves the personal and professional needs of individuals, families and business owners with insurance portfolios including home, auto, recreational products, commercial and small business packages.

Maine Insurance Agency’s two offices in Portland and Gray, Maine, will subsequently be rebranded under the Cross Insurance name and all personnel affiliated with the agency, will be retained by Cross Insurance.
