On January 4th, 2017, Cross Insurance acquired President Insurance Agency, located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Quincy is a major part of the Boston metropolitan region, as it is located less than 10 miles south of Boston, and is home to a population of more than 93,000, making it the 8th largest municipality in Massachusetts.
President Insurance Agency, Inc. has been a part of the Quincy community since 1995. The agency’s five employees provide Quincy and its surrounding communities with a wide range of insurance services for both commercial and personal clientele. However, President Insurance Agency, Inc. is more than a generalist insurance agency, as it is renowned for its experience in placing coverage for the Ocean Marine and Construction industries. By focusing on Ocean Marine and Construction, President Insurance Agency, Inc. has made a name for itself and writes some of Massachusetts’ leading companies in both industries.
Under Cross’ direction, President Insurance Agency, Inc. will continue to be managed by George Dolbec, its founder and President, but be given a chance to realize large growth. Cross will be able to expand the offerings of President Insurance Agency, Inc. by assigning new insurance carriers to the agency, which will provide its clients with greater product offerings. As a result of additional carriers, President Insurance Agency, Inc. will also be able to support markets and customers it previously was incapable of writing.
Additionally, the acquisition of President Insurance Agency, Inc. has given Cross a larger presence in the Greater Boston region, as President Insurance Agency, Inc. has become the 9th Cross Insurance office within a 35 mile radius of Boston.
