  • Greet visiting Cross Insurance clients with a professional and helpful demeanor
  • Ensure visitors receive timely customer service by responding and having Cross staff assist
  • Mailing operations including processing of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Office supply orders as needed
  • Tracking Direct Notice of Cancellations and Reinstatements


  • Responsible for the processing of Commercial / Personal Lines customer payment deposits in AMS system and making bank deposits 2X weekly

Phone System 

  • Answer calls in a courteous manner and connects callers to appropriate staff or backup
  • When possible, connect callers to a person, opposed to voicemail or bouncing the caller around
  • Utilize pointed questions to assist customers in an efficient manner:
  • “Good morning/afternoon, Cross Insurance. “How may I direct your call?”
  • “Are you calling in regard to a personal home/auto policy, or a commercial policy?”
  • “May I ask what you’re calling in regard to, to ensure I transfer to the appropriate person?”

A Certificate of Insurance, Evidence of Property, Declaration Page, or Auto ID Card calls should be directed to appropriate dept.

A change in policy, additions/deletions to policy, cancellations, etc. should be directed to the appropriate dept.
