Brown Thayer Shedd Insurance Agency Rebrands as Cross Private Client Insurance
Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp and one of the largest independent insurance providers in New England, announces that Brown Thayer Shedd Insurance Agency, a Division of Cross Insurance, of Darien, Connecticut has rebranded as Cross Private Client Insurance.
Brown Thayer Shedd operating under the new name Cross Private Client Insurance will become the flagship personal insurance advisory brand alongside Cross Insurance. With this change a new Cross co-branded logo will be launched.
“We see the flagship rebrand to be mutually beneficial not just for our agencies but also for our clients,” said Jonathan Cross, President of Cross Insurance. “Brown Thayer Shedd’s extensive sales experience and vast knowledge of the High Net Worth Insurance market has been a real asset to our organization. We are confident that Cross Private Client Insurance will continue to grow nationwide.”
This rebranding strategy will heighten the focus of the demographic Brown Thayer Shedd has provided asset protection to for many decades, Successful Families and Individuals.
“Our new brand identity marks another milestone for the BTS legacy, said Senior Vice President Ryan Garrity. “Since our partnership in 2016, Cross Insurance has been a tremendous resource in providing the tools necessary for us to advance our organization forward, which has resulted in geographic growth in our unique sector of Personal Risk Insurance. In June 2020, we opened a Ridgefield, Connecticut office and recently established a presence in Palm Beach County, Florida,” said Garrity.
Since its founding in 1954, Cross Insurance has grown extensively through the acquisition of more than 120 insurance agencies throughout New England. The company now has over 1,000 employees operating out of offices in Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida.
